Friday at the beach

Beach season is here again!
No, not sunning and lazy days at the beach...time for Molly to be in her glory, chasing stuff in the water and generally causing havoc on the beaches of Lake Superior

Molly in her element

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease, just throw him one more time

If you won't throw cuz... i'm outta here!

And while Molly went off on her little journey alone.... I watched the world go by

and just so you know...NOTHING went by, not a person, not a boat, not a duck, well there may have been a bug or two, I was too busy enjoying the nothingness of it all to notice, sigh

And then this showed up in my face

Noooooooo, nooooooooo, nooooooooooooooooooo we can't go yet!

Ah, my golden girl

Hmmm, we could bottle up some beach and sent it to you.
You only think this place is nice cause of the beach pictures... do you remember these days??

No one wanted to live here then

I could do with getting out of here for a while, maybe we could trade lives? Though, since you have a bigger house, I get to keep all the dogs

I laughed and then cringed at the sandy face one. She looked so cute, but it reminded me why I don't like going to the beach. You get sand everywhere, even in your mouth sometimes.

Ooooo, but Ancientgirl we have "special" sand here... very coarse, very hard and NOT sticky at all (unless you are a wet dog). It feels really nice, though it is tougher to walk on cause it doesn't pack down like fine sand. I too hate that fine stuff like you get at the ocean, sticks to everything, blows around at the slightest breeze I'm with you on avoiding those beaches. When i'm camping i try and avoid sand too - gets in everything, nothing like sleeping in a sandy sleeping bag
Actually, the coolest beaches we have around here are "pebble" beaches

no sand at all!

What wonderful pics! Except for the snow ones. You can keep them. All too familiar!
Did Molly leave any beach behind or did she eat it all?
She is a sweetheart.

Oh Molly , doesn't matter if you have sand in your mouth or not, you still have the most kissable, loveable face!

You shoulda heard me laugh too! I was kinda mad at her when she stomped off on me (she was across the creek so I didn't go after her - it was safe and she couldn't go anywhere so nothing really to worry about, I just let her go)... it sure all changed when she showed up like that

We've managed to shed a few of our layers - though after snow again today (nothing that stuck around, fewf!) i'm contemplating heading back for a couple more weeks

you can check him out on the WAWA GOOSE CAM http://www.wawawebcam.ca/content/view/12/40/
I grew up in Toronto... so got about as much connection to this place as you I've only been here for about 8 years, a real newbie by Wawa standards
