My dog has a lump in the back of his mouth...

My 2 year old pit bull has a lump about the size of a golf ball cut in half on the back of his mouth. It is kind of stiff but when I touch it or squeeze it he doesn't react. He has acted any different since i've noticed it and doesn't seem to be affected, but the eye on the side where the lump is waters more often then his other eye. What might this be and what should I do?

Hello! Welcome to the forum! i would imagine the best thing to do would to have that checked out by a vet. Without seeing a picture or anything there are a million things that come to mind. It could be a large canker sore, but it could also be a tumor.

You may have to get it surgically removed and have a biopsy if it turns out not to be a sore. It might be something that can just be drained as well.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes when you are able to get him to the vet.

Definitely needs to be seen by a vet, garygravell! Please let us know what the vet says!
