What breed do you think my dog is?

We adopted Mondo from a shelter in December 2007. All we know is that he is about 3 years old. We think he is half Red Doberman and half Chocolate Lab (he has longer hair than just a Dobie). He has a great personality, is highly trainable and is great with children.
What breed do you think he is based on the pictures?

yeah, i'd guess dobe/lab mix too. he's a nice lookin dog! I love the pics of him w/ the kids... looks like he was meant to be w/ them!

I can really see the dobie in his face. Looks like a nice mix with the dobie/lab. He looks big too. Very handsome dog.

hmmmm.....definately very strong dobie type....not sure about the lab as the ears look like they almost want to stand up. Dobes have pendulous ears and labs have ears that hang fairly flat as well. So my guess is that the other mix is something with ears that stood up. The eyes are light...common in red dobies...um...it is really hard to say without seeing the parents of the dog. I'd bet that there is a lab shepherd mix involved somewhere as those are common breeds...anyways, definately the ears suggest something else there as well...to me that is...just guessing really. The strongest resemblance is definately doberman....would not surprize me if one parent was pure dobe and the other a doberman mixed with shephard. Nothing better around the house then a stable doberman mind....love dobies...had two...but the second one was nuttier than a fruit cake...smart but nutty. Loved him to pieces tho...

I'd say he definitely has Lab in him judging from the shape of his head, his ears, and his tail.
