MY NEW CAT ONLY PEES EVERY 16 hours is this OKAY???

HELLO !!!!! I just adopted a cat yesterday age 1 1/2 and he used his litter box at 4 p.m. then not again til 8 am the next morning !!???? is this okay >??? I am new to cat ownership

Yes that is normal. Sounds like my cat's schedule. Cats do not have a high thirst drive and their kidneys do a wonderful job of concentrating urine. However this also means that you have to make sure he is getting enough water and this can be done by not feeding kibble full time, but a high quality canned (meat protein, human grade, no by products, Wellness, Go Natural are good)
