Found a way to make videos!

My digi cam has the ability to capture very short movies with no sound. Normally I wouldn't use this function because the lighting has to be fairly bright for anything to even show up.

So early this morning I took advantage of the sun coming in through the front of the house.

Rare event these days for mom to allow feeding time as she's weaning them.

Busy Milk Bar

Hey! Mom left.. where'd she go?

Ah well, let's play instead.

Awww, those are amazing, poor mama, but those pups are just the cutest.
I'd love to be in your house right now,I'd just be sitting on the floor all day with those little guys.
How long before they stop suckling and can lap up some food on their own??
I never had tiny puppies, just kittens..

Seriously - those puppies were going to town - it didn't look like Belle had enough body mass to handle it! That's a tough mom, but she's done well, because they're so big and healthy!
Super cute - thanks for sharing!

She's weaning them now and all the pups eat puppy mush just fine, although it's rather a large mess! I learned the first day not to feed all at once and now I'm doing two at a time in separate bowls. Otherwise they have too much competition and some might overeat while others don't get enough.

I feel sorry for the pups though when Belle bites them on the neck to keep them from nursing. But nature knows best and I was told this wasn't her first litter. Come February we won't have to worry about that any more! lol

Poor Belle, that's quite the demanding crowd . You are so lucky that she is such a good momma . I love all the videos, you can see all of the puppies personalities developing already .

They are growing sooo fast! I'm glad I got all this media on the computer. Seems like yesterday they were born and looked like sausages. lol

If we lay on our stomachs on the floor they all run up and give face kisses. Sister-in-law got her ear nibbled on last night. Normally I can't stand dog slobber on my face, but with puppies, who can resist? Maybe this is humanizing the pups, but they seem so loving and sweet tempered.

Only bad part about that is during all this lovin', one or two of them will bark really loud and it always seems to be right beside the ear. Too bad we don't have the ability to "see" into what goes on in all those little brains.

I got them a squirrel stuffy from Canadian Tire yesterday to go with the duck.

Those videos are so funny. My foster momma would bite the kittens on the neck when they kept bothering her for milk, they were fully weaned (or so I thought) but kept trying to nurse even at 3.5 months of age. Didn't seem to hurt them.

Most go to a designated spot that I've been encouraging them to do. But once in a while there are mistakes. lol Whenever they squat I move them to the spot. They are catching on slowly.

Sometimes I catch them waking up one by one and crawling out to do their business on the papers. I mop and clean up all the time. lol

Poor Belle! I thought this was her first litter?? she is so young....Do you know a little more about her history now? Gosh she must have been just a baby herself having babies!

Regardless Belle is a beauty! She has very nice eyes! The videos were great! I honestly have never seen a littler of puppies like this in my life so I thought it was amazing to see them all! Felt real sorry for mom! cause thats gotta hurt! They all look wonderful...someone was really looking out for this girl! and for you! things just have a way of working out!!

Your doing a fantastic job!
