Exclamation Help Sick Puppy!!!!!

I saw that it said if pet is vomitting seek medical care. My puppy has been getting sick since yesterday afternoon. She ate yesterday morning but she has not eaten today, anyway I called the 24 hr emergency vet, they told me to try not giving her any fluids or water for about 4 hrs and that if she still gets sick take her to our vet in the morning. I followed their instructions and after about 3 hrs she got sick and it was just bile. I am planning on taking her in in the morning but I just don't know what to do tonight. I am very worried and the emergency vet is 30 miles away and I have no way to get her there because my fiance is at work. Is there anything I can do?

you shouldnt withold fluid from this puppy - if she is sick she can get very dehydrated very quickly - just give small amounts of water and get her to the vet as soon as you can.

Arrow Update!

I took my puppy to the 24 hr emergency vet at 4 a.m and they gave her some injections and got her somewhat rehydrated. Makes me kinda mad that they told me not to give her fluids but anyway.... so she got transfrered to our normal vet at 8 am this morning and put on antibiotics and had several tests ran and an IV put in. she is not vommitting anymore they said and she is doing a little better she has to stay there overnight. Boy.... its gonna be a long night I am very worried. Thank you for you reply and wish me luck that she will make it though all of this
Thank You

I hope she is okay as well.

I would be upset too if they gave the wrong advise. Pups can go hypoglycemic w/o food or water. Silly they told you to withhold like that.
But three/four hours w/o food is no big deal..half a day or a day is a big deal with a pup.

keep us informed
