Please Help ID My Pooch

Hello all,

Just came across this site while trying to figure out what kind of dog I have.

Max is 11 & I've had him since he was a tiny pup. I've only seen a couple of dogs that looked like him here in Chicago. My Mom used to tell people he was a Miniature Golden Shepherd (She made it up thou ).

Thanks a Million! - JC

Here's a couple pics...

Hi! I would have to agree with your mom! Certainly has German Shepherd in him, but i can also see a bit of Lab or Golden also.

When I open your pictures nothing happens. Maybe I am doing something wrong if the other person could see them. When I click on them nothing happens it just says done at the bottom of the screen!

I tried again and I still can not see them. I guess if you want to download them again we can try and help but if not good luck with your dog. I have always hated not knowing what some breed is and it seems like I always feel sorry for and animal and take them in and they are always muts so I never get to know. Oh well, I guess that is my luck LOL! Good luck and take care!

Wow, lots of replies.

That's what I've always thought - Part Shepherd, part Lab (His color & markings are just like a lab).

I have trouble with some people not being able to open my pictures hosted on ofoto.com - Why? I have no idea.

Do they have photo hosting on this site?

Otherwise, if you want to see my cool pooch, send me a message to jgc188@hotmail.com & I'll send you a pic.

Thanks agian! - JC

Just thought - Maybe you have to sign up on ofoto.com to view my pics? It's a good FREE photo hosting service. Maybe that's it.

Goldenmom, are you a member of ofoto?

Another PIC

I added a full shot of max (He wasn't very good at ignoring the camera at the first shoot).

I would not have thought of all that...

Max's tail...

- is average length (long).

- has a white underside & tip, and is usually just hanging down.

- is fairly thick with hair.

When he is getting ready to chase a ball or sees the one dog he likes in the neighborhood, his tail goes up & wags like crazy.

It reminds me of my old shepherd (Star's) tail (IIRC).

Here's the pic which should give you a better idea of what I think are his "Lab" markings...

Thanks again everyone. He's sitting next to me at the computer waiting to find out who he is. By the way, he's kinda scrunched down in this pic (he's guarding his ball). ...

Wow, White GSD. Just found this pic of one & he's a good look-alike.

Something made him small though. He only weighs about 32 lbs. Maybe Collie as was mentioned.

Keep guessing please...
