Animals as Teachers and Healers

by Susan Chernak McElroy - is an awesome book! The stories are all of animals that have had a significant impact on some humans - one story is of a shepherd that covered a baby with its body during a fire - the baby survived. Very heartwarming stories about the courage and unconditional love of different animals...

A very good read.

I got that one at the library ~ some of the stories brought tears to my eyes they were so touching. Not that we need reminding but, it really hits home the message that animals contribute so much to our individual lives and truly do "humanize" a civilized society.

Isn't that the truth, mx3... it is a beautiful book and we can and do learn so much from our 4-footed friends!
