Vick has found Jesus...

Well,as was expected,Vick has now through this ordeal, found Jesus and is asking God for forgivness (his words),could beeing in Virginia have anything to do with his sudden religous personna
He says he was imature and has some growing up to do,in my veiw torturing dogs, has nothing to do with immaturity, only cruelty.

The only thing on his mind,IMO,is to try to save the millions of $$$ he is going to lose.

What a publicity stunt. I hope the public doesn't fall for that. It is like the stars that are impaired and do something stupid/illegal and then go into rehab for a bit until all quiets down.

I wasn't aware Jesus was lost...I wonder where Vick found him ????

And do ya think it's pure coincidence that he pled guilty and found Jesus pretty much all in the same paragraph? Hmmmm....couldn't be anything about looking for some lenience in sentencing or being allowed to play ball in a few years could it ????

What a load of horse hockey...

Why is it when people do things like this and get caught, they think saying they've found Jesus is like an eraser for everything they've done.

So he found Jesus? Boy, I had no idea Jesus was lost.

its totally expected even on a deeper level than just trying to salvage his popularity/career/'good' name. when you do something liek that and others make you feel good or powerful about it, you continue as long as you have support. now that he finds he is not accepted by his clan or tribe, he will reactively make decisions so he IS accepted by his tribe again. most of the nation is Christian so he will find Jesus again.

as a nation, being Christian is acceptable and desirable. it will be accepted not only by the masses but probably our judicial system also. he will make a large donation to either a animal rights group and also a Christian group... maybe even spend a good few years (while he isnt playing ball) working for animals and he will be loved again.

If he does give his time to animal groups, I hope every dog that comes near him bites him in the butt!

Apparently the 12-18 month jail term is not nailed down, the judge can give him anything up to five years. So it really depends on the judge. I hope he's 'heard it all' and can see Vick for what he is, a deeply immature man who lives in a $130 million fantasy land where his every impulse is sanctioned.

He may be forgiven and get into heaven, but he has to pay for his cruelty while he's still here.

HA ! Good one ! I'm always a little skeptical of celebrities who immediately find Jesus the minute they've been found out. Christians all over the world should be outraged at Jesus being trotted out like a photo op.

And I'm denigrating anyone who truly admits that they've done wrong and need forgiveness. Ted Bundy's jailhouse conversion was far more believable in my opinion. It wasn't immediate, and he was very involved in prison Bible Study for some period of time. Not just briefly while the cameras were rolling. And he said that while he didn't want to die he did deserve to die and that society had a right to be protected from him.

A far cry from Vick's, "I made some mistakes."

Now it seems as though there's someone every other week who is making tons of oney for little or no contribution to society and when they see their popularity and their pocketbook threatened they yell "No wait---I've found Jesus. I'm a great guy." It's nauseating.

I hope I did not offend any true Christian on our Forum,I am not a religous person myself, but I am offended by anyone claiming to see the light in religion, after the fact, after they've comitted horrible crimes....if there is a hell,I hope it welcomes people like that with open arms.

I don't care if it's appropriate or not,but he had female dogs in a some sort of contraption,I would say rape,as males were mounting her just to get more puppies to get killed in the ring.
Whatever jokes are done about this sorry speciemen of a man,is fine with me

sarcasm...

Well I'm glad someone's found Jesus again...the poor guy just keeps getting lost and found...he's worse than a male driver in a new/different city...

/sarcasm

I haven't been following this much.

To be honest, I don't care. Let me explain that.

I don't care about the media hype. I don't care if he's going to play after he gets out of jail. I don't care about every little twist and turn in the damn case. I don't care. The *******'s getting all this publicity and in some ways it'll "boost" his career. He's a household name. He is notorious now.

Whenever he gets out of jail/off of probation/whatever punishment he will likely turn it around to other things. He'll start giving to charities and things like that. He'll get more publicity and eventually his "public image" will be wiped clean again. He may not play football, but who's to say he can't coach? Who's to say he can't start up a league for needy children or something?

To me, its like when any other celebrity breaks the law. Its the same thing. Over and over again. All we should be doing (media wise) is saying "Michael Vick was charged with XYZ" and then two weeks later or whatever "He's getting this punishment" or "He's making a deal to bring down the ringleaders and getting this punishment" END. OF. STORY.

Don't analyze how his career will be affected. Don't do 1/2 hour segments on the ******* about why he might have done it and whether he has and what people's opinions are.

Megan

I heard this on the radio : a woman got Vick's football cards , made her dogs chew the cards and put the cards n E-Bay, thinking she could raise $100 (I think to donate for an animal cause) she raise $6 000.00
