Deleting pictures in closed threads

Every month or two I go through my attachments to see witch ones I can delete. some of them are in closed threads and there is no way I can delete the attachements other than PM you guys to ask for help...
Is there no way of doing this??

I hate bugging you for this purpose only, and would like to do this on my own.
If there is another way can you please tell me.

Unfortunately once a thread is closed the ability for anyone to edit existing posts in that thread goes along with it. If you have added the attachment through a 3rd pty picture site, such as photobucket, I believe that you can remove the link through the site which will make the attachment in the forum post go away, otherwise you will still have to check with the mods or admin to have any removed.

Breeze ~ just for my own curiousity ~ and we all know I am curious... why would you (or I) want to periodically delete attachments/ pictures ? Is there a safety thing I'm not getting ?
