I love this show. I don't watch too many shows on a regular basis, but I always try to squeeze in the Sopranos. As for recent developments...

Did you see how Tony just could not let Janice be happy? he had to push her buttons and just walk away after very pleased with himself.

I wonder what is going to happen with Adriana the rat? Sometimes I think since Chris is becoming more unhappy maybe he will leave town with her. She has to get caught though sooner or later.

Tony just had to prove that he isn't the only one with an anger problem, and that Janice is full of it, as usual.
If Janice were a man, she would be more dangerous than any of them!

I'm sure Adriana will get caught sooner or later. The thing that keeps you on the edge of your seat is that this show - unlike other drama series - DOES kill off the show's stars and you never know who is gonna get whacked next! I really thought Tony was going to kill Chris after the Tony/Adriana thing that didn't happen.

Okay. Was not the Chris and his re-hab buddy episode the best!!!! I howled at the end!! Afther having his buddy beat up for money he owed him, sending him off to re-hab, asking "Why didn't you call your sponsor." When buddy replies because he couldn't get a hold of him, Chris having the gall to say "you could've called me..." Right after he says he was taking posession of his buddies Z4 and taking the book value off of the substantial debt... the debt that caused his buddy to start using again!! I laughed so hard Oliver and Nadia lloked at me like I was having convulsions!!! Just goes to show, business is business - don't take it personally!!!

LOVE the Sopranos!!!!!!
I wonder if Adrianna will get taken out this season or next?
I love how Tony is handling Carmella!!! Although I was kind of hoping last season she would have had her own affair. But that guy went back to Italy! Too bad. I think that would have made etremely great episodes having Tony find that one out, but not to kill the gut right away. What in the heck was his name Fa-something wasn't it?

Edit to say- Yes cmt that was the best!!! Don't take it personal eh? How long did he give hiom to pay back the money? 24 hours and then the fun began right?

LOL! Yes, Chris "non-confrontational intervention" where he ends up getting the crap beaten out of him. Too funny.

One thing really bugs me. Carmella was always whining that Tony would'nt let her work, so now is her chance but I don't see her doing anything except fussing around the mansion.

Most shocking episode: When Tony killed Ralphie. The scumbag deserved it, but that was unexpected.

One of the funniest: Janice with her narcoleptic boyfriend who kept nodding off - LOL!

This show has some of the funniest scenes on TV - funnier than most comedy shows.

There is plenty of graphic violence, but it's never portrayed in an almost romantic way, as some other shows do, with slo-mo shootings, dramatic music, etc. The violence is ugly, dirty and revolting, nothing anyone would want to emulate.

I'll shut up now - I could talk about the Sopranos all day!

LMAO at cmt. Thank god I thought I was losing it!!!
And L.R. exactly I found that so annoying in Carmella. She had a maid for crying out loud!! She was definitely spoiled! Remember when she just got done doing it with that teacher and he kind of rejected her and she told him to watch himself. Oooh the power! She loves being Tony's wife!! Do you think they'll get back together?
We liked how they got rid of Ralph!!
And Janice I liked the one with her ex Ritchie. One punch and boom!! That might show some abusive men out there what exactly could happen. Yep I could yammer for awhile about them.

Carmella does seem to have some power. I think she is very good at being a mob wife really! She does have a certain amount of respect. I think she made a big mistake sleeping with Tony though, because if she ever wanted things to change and get back together she blew it. why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free? Not that Tony would EVER change his cheating ways.

She really does live for the mansion and the money, but it seems like she would like to believe that she does not.

this is getting me excited for Sunday's new episode.

Last nights episode was way better than last weeks. As soon as Chris left to get cigarettes, she should have known. You think she would have been suspicious with Tony calling and having Sil pick her up. I guess she just wanted to believe Chris would go with her.

That was a good one, I'm sure with only a couple of weeks left it should get really interesting now.

Adrianna was such a physical and emotional wreck, I doubt she could think at all, and the thought that Chris might try to commit suicide was not unreasonable, given his recent problems and attitude.

You are not going to believe this but... last night hubby decided to fix the satellite, job done in time for Sopranos, settled in to watch it, everythings good, EXCELLENT episode btw, watching Syl drive Adrianna to meet Christopher at the hospital and BAM out goes the satellite. I couldn't friggin believe it!!!! The episode I've been waiting to see all season and we miss the last 5 minutes or so. Aaaargh!!!
So anywho I'm assuming Adrianna got whacked but I can't wait to see who does it!! Does Christopher? Somebody talk because I don't know if I can wait any longer for the news!!!!

chany, sil picked her up and drove her out to the woods then when he stopped the car and got out she tried to lock the doors and fought a bit but he pulled her out, they got a few feet away and he shot her. That was it, then later Chirs was high at the bing (upset over adrianna) and tony was mad so he beat on him.

Hate when something like that happens during a good show!

Dee, THANK YOU so much for the update!!! I actually watched all of it Tuesday night. It was EXCELLENT!!! I thought Adrianna had caught on what was going to happen to her driving in the woods, but it was so sad .
Drea did a wonderful job on that episode! They obviously left room for her to come back because they didn't show her dead. Here's hoping!!
Thanks again,
Chany

Chany - I was in the same situation as you (having to watch on Tuesday) but for a different reason - I was out boating and have not convinced my parent's to put a mini dish on the thing - maybe next boat - LOL!! I agree, it was such an awesome episode. And you could just see Tony considering everything at the end, realizing that as many problems as he and Carm had in the past, that she is the ideal mob wife - would never talk and accepts the life. IMO, I think he was understanding how lucky he is in his relationship. Can't wait till next week, I want it now!!! Once heard this show described as the crack cocaine of television - one hit and you can't get enough. I agree!!!!

Yes I have to admit Carmella is probably the perfect mob wife but I was wondering all of a sudden why Tony was coming back but you make sense
However Carmella is also very expensive. $ 600,000 just for a lot , plus however else much its going to cost for her project?
How long before Tony's extras start interfering in Carmellas life again? Thats all he promised her did you notice that? I kind of hope Tony B doesn't come back his character was kind of lame and I don't think he'll be missed too much.
However Johnny Saks may be becoming quite an adversary for Tony unless he gets knocked off next year. Do you think Sopranos could survive without Tony as the main character?

I haven't been able to see any of the Sopranos since the third season. I think CTV shows them, but it's always a season behind. So sad.

Great actors. The one fellow, older guy, can't remember his name....was actually a mobster in the past before he went on the show. He's done a few different movies now as a mob character. Nice to know that you don't have to retire to the bottom of the ocean with cement shoes.

Gandolfinni (spelling?) got into a big contract dispute with the producers about a year ago and said he wouldn't show up on set for filming. He held out for a while, and then they came to some interim agreement. I don't think the show could survive without him. He's more than just the lead character, more of an icon for the show in my opinion.

If anyone likes the Sopranos, you must be huge fans of Good Fellas. One of the best mob movies ever made in my opinion, and I was a massive Scarface fan for years until I saw Good Fellas.

Yup, yup. That would Tony Sirico, who plays the nutso psychotic Paulie so very convincingly!

GoodFellas - wow! Who would think that a little guy with a funny voice like Joe Pesci could be so damn frightening??

Wonderful movie.

Unfortunately, I think that Pesci can't do much else other than be a nasty mob guy. He was also great in Casino, but everything else I've seen him in just didn't look right. Typecasting sucks sometimes.
One of my favourite scenes from Good Fellas is the one they complete in one long shot. It starts off with them entering the restaurant and walking through until they get to their table. You get the third person commentary, and hear all the people they meet along the way. Johnny Two Times says "Hey, how's it goin'? Hey, How's it goin'?" I think they modelled Johnny Tight Lips from the Simpsons after him...."Hey Johnny, how's it goin'?...I ain't sayin' nothin'"

If you like mob movies LR, you should consider checking out The Crays. Now you want to meet some bad boys...The Cray brothers are about as nasty as it can get. Some interesting twists that caught me off guard too.

Loved Goodfellas and Casino. But I've never heard of The Crays? A movie I'm assuming? If not when is it on?
Bill are you a Simpsons fan too? We love them

The CRAYS!! OMG - beg, borrow or steal this movie, but get it! It's a little known and probably low budget British film about twin brothers who enter into a life of crime. A true story and a must-see!

Bill, I know what you mean about Pesci, but he was pretty damn funny in My Cousin Vinny!

On a rainy evening in Vancouver, I could, and have, watch The Simpsons four times if I'm bored. The more recent new episodes are losing their luster with product placements, etc., but overall the show has remained pretty funny.
Any favourite characters? Krusty and Moe are atop my list, but there's so many on the list to begin with.

Favorite characters? Hmm? Maggie loved the sniper episode, Barts humorous but I love Homer Jay!!! I don't know why exactly but I think because underneath his slobbering drunkness ( sometimes ) he is absolutely in love with Marge And he is extremely funny! You have to have a sense of humor in life.
When there is nothing else on at least there are The Simpsons. What about King of the Hill or Family Guy? We were pretty disappointed that they quit making the family guy.
You're going to have to invest in Movie Central to keep up on the Sopranos .
