How do I know??????

How do I know if a dog is truly housebroken and not just excited or nervous at new surroundings?

I brought Buddy home he played in the yard for a while with my daughter and did a very long pee 6pm

8 pm we took him out no pee.......15 minute walk

10 pm took him out no pee.........same

6 am i awoke poop on my bedroom carpet and a pee

610 out for a walk 15 minutes nothing

630 major runny poop on my carpet ( food change i guess)

740 out for walk 1/2 an hour nothing

10 am no sign of yearning to go out.

10:15 major dog barking at the cat I go upstairs Buddy is givin my cat a heart attack barking at it with requests to play so I bring him in my room call my friend turn around and he's doin a huge pee on my rug

Am I doin somethin wrong here ?

I have a bad feeling that this dog is not housetrained

Could it be that because he was in a cage for weeks he thinks he can pee in his house?

HELP>>>>>>>>Hubby is gettin pissed.....lol....no pun intended

He's been indoors in a kennel cage for how long????
It will all take time hun!

Take him out regularly and take him to same part of the yard all the time and give him a command to use ... 'go pee' or something!

When yur going outside tell him 'lets go pee'

When he goes outside you give him a treat, a kibble or training treats!

It'll work out! TIME my friend and patience

I totally agree with Luba. Liz had no idea about anything which was pretty sad. We had to house train her..had to teach her to go up and down stairs..had to teach her to play. It was a sad sight. Now she is very good...almost too good.

Give lots or time for poor Buddy. Just think what all the crap he's been threw. Who knows what other's people did to him.

By the way congrats on the addition!!!!!!
