Pan's Labyrinth
Just saw this movie on Friday night. It was excellent. It was a little different than I expected, but not in an unpleasant way. It was a definitely a sad story, very fairlytale-ish. Set in post WW2 Spain, it was an aspect of the war that I didn't know about. The little girl is amazing, and the visuals are awesome. The movie is disturbing at times, quite violent as well. I recomment it highly.

My nephew and I went to a movie last week. He begged me to go see Pan's and I choose Dreamgirls. Chalk that one up as a MISTAKE.

I just saw this over the weekend w/ my brother. We both loved it! I recommend it highly. Still thinking about it a couple days later, which means something. Most movies I forget about soon after watching them (bad movie memory). It was somewhat violent, and not for children. However, I have seem movies that are much more violent so after reading the reviews online, I was surprised it was not more so. This movie is definitely in my top 10 of all time favorites.
