Bring on the Beef!

I am so happy and just had to share it with the other raw feeders here. Barkley now eats beef with no problems whatsoever! He can even handle an entire meal of just beef and his poops are still perfect. It used to give him horrible gas and loose stools but no more! I also noticed I was feeding too many boney meals and have recently increased the meat content and he's doing great on it. It's so nice not to have to buy that commercial raw diet anymore and to be able to go to the supermarket and buy other meats rather than just sticking to chicken or turkey. Now that he's been consistently good with the beef for a few weeks now, I think my next step will be to introduce organ meats but I plan on taking that veeeery slowly as I know this can definitely give them loose stools. I also plan on delving into the world of pork shortly. I figure that if he does well on beef, he shouldn't have problems with pork either.
It's so funny, when I'm at the supermarket doing our grocery shopping, my fiance will say "What kinds of meat do you want to buy for our dinners?" and I'll say "Oh, I don't know, but do you think Barkley will like this beef roast or those pork riblets?" or "Oooohh, look! Chicken's on sale...better stock up for Barkley!" He finds it quite amusing and always says that the dog eats better than we do
What can I say, I'm a slave to the puppers
