quiet cat
My cat, Tipsy, is 7 years old and has always been very healthy. Each morning around 5:30 she meows quite loudly for her food. She walks all over the bed, meowing for her breakfast until I have to get up and feed her. This morning she did not demand her food and never made a sound. She didn't even meow when I tried to look in her mouth. Her eyes are clear and her nose cool to the touch. I picked her up and she did not seem to have any soreness or be in any kind of pain. She normally follows me around but this morning she just sat on the bed not making any noise whatsoever.....this is totally out of character for her. She did not eat her breakfast and didn't even eat the treat I gave her. She did not seem lethargic but at the same time not as active as normal. What could be wrong?

She is obviously not feeling well,if cats stop eating or drinking it can lead to serious problems,I would not wait...better take her to the vet.It could be just a bug,but better safe than sorry...

Cats go to great lengths to hide illness and have a high pain tolerence, so cats can be very ill and not show it.
If she is not back to normal in 24 hrs, I would take her to the vet. This is assuming she does not go out? If she does, I would take her now. |

She is and has always been an indoor cat.
I will take her to the vet this aftenoon. I would rather be safe than sorry. She is my special angel and I will always take good care of her. |
