Holistic Vet?

Does anybody know of a holistic vet anywhere near Burlington, Ontario?

We're trying to get to the bottom of poor Tommy's problems, but it seems as though it will take a while - with all of his symptoms, it's really a matter of ruling out this and then that, and then trying something altogether different. We have about a half-dozen possible diagnoses to work through. I really like our new vet, and the specialist who is overseeing the case, but at the end of the day this poor puppy is still vomiting every few days. He's on amoxil and metronidazole but he's still vomiting, and we need to find him some more help.

I realize at this point we are merely treating the symptoms until we can get to the root of it all, but I just really believe there must be more to try than just antibiotics, antibiotics, antibiotics. How long before the antibiotics become a whole new problem? How long can this puppy go on getting sick so often? How much damage is he doing to himself while it continues? There really HAS to be another option, and we're wracking our brains trying to find one.

So, I thought perhaps a holistic vet might have some different ideas to calm his tummy and boost his immune system at least... I mean yeah, it would be fantastic if they could solve the entire problem, but right now I'll settle for an entire week without Tommy having a bad gut day. I found quite a few in Guelph, but really would prefer not having to haul him out that far if it's not necessary - he gets pretty stressed out in the car these days after spending so much time going to vet offices and emergency clinics, and I think stress just makes it even worse on him.

If anybody has any recommendations, we'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
