Bond, James Bond (Casino Royale)
Given I walked in expecting it to not be awful, I wasn't disappointed. Truly the best Bond film I've seen in years, and probably the very grittiest since the Timothy Dalton years. It's a return to Ian Fleming's original vision - the one that happened to exist years prior to such dreadful lines as those in "The World is Not Enough". There's action, suspense, drama, and so much intrigue that even I was caught off guard. The action sequences are just amazing, and there is zero CGI for stunts. That's right folks, we had humans doing stunts throughout this entire movie, which gives it an entirely authentic feel (and trust me, the one airport scene you WILL feel it!)
2 Paws up!
