dog food question

Someone told us that if we buy a dog food with lower sodium it will help with Brick's "hyperness"....is that true? We feed him Eagle Pack which is a high quality food, and I couldn't find sodium on it - could it be disguised as something else?

Thanks!

Eagle pack, if I'm remembering properly does have extra salt in it, but I've never heard of salt making a dog hyper... It might make them drink more, but that's about it.

I'm not much of a dog food expert but generally....

Extra salt is a common cause of water retention...I've never heard of it causing hyper activity.

You should be more wary of sugar content - glucose and fructose.

Maybe they meant hypertension. There is some debate about salt contributing to cardiovascular disease. A higher B complex content in the food may have a calming effect if that was what you were looking for.
