finally got the bigger cow photos!
dakotah's excursion in the new-brunswick boonies in september... he LOOOOVES cows, and i think they see a family resemblance of sorts cuz they were sure friendly! they went all kissy-kissy on him too!
 i love my cool-dude dog :love:

hahah look at that cow's googly eyes "no!! it CAn'T be!! ...what breed of cow are YOU??" hehe I love cows. Good thing they didn't freak out on him and hurt him. They all look positively curious and friendly

yeah we took our time letting the beasts get closer to each other... didn't know how our city dog would react either, what if he growled and spooked them? but all went well, he was pulling like mad to get closer and he was wagging his tail! silly boy... i kept telling him "no dinner! no dinner" ha ha!!

That's pretty neat! I never realized cows were that curious! Though I suppose they don't usually get a lot of entertainment...

Cows are incredibly curious and they seem to adore giving big sloppy kisses. At least, the ones I remember from my childhood did. All I can say is "Eeeewwwww!!!!!!!!" Cow drool stinks!
And calves will get hold of whatever they can to try and nurse from. I came home from a farm once and had to wash my hair right away because I had braided pigtails that day-they were all soggy from friendly calves.

cute pics!
we have cows a few houses down from us, those big ol hairy ones (Highland cows). Tucker is positively petrified of them. we walk by, and tucker takes a few steps close to the fence to attempt a sniff, but the moment they put their nose out to him, his tail is between his legs and he's hiding behind me, like "mommy! save me from the wooly mammoth!".
