Unhappy Desperately Seeking Fidji

WE LOST OUR 12 YEAR OLD DOG ON JANUARY 1ST, 2004 ON CLAYTON LAKE ROAD NEAR ALMONTE, ONTARIO.
HER NAME IS FIDJI, SHE IS A SHEPPERD MIX BUT LOOKS LIKE A BEARDED COLLIE . SHE IS PARTIALLY BLIND AND IS ABOUT 60/65 LBS.
WE MISS HER A LOT AND WE FEEL POWERLESS.
HELP.

Keep looking! Put up posters everywhere where there is a board. Try posting her on here:

Canada Strays

Don't give up just because she is an older dog. There are many stories of people giving up the searches because they're pets were old and they thought they were just "going away to die."

Thank you Mona for posting the picture. I guess I got a little bit confused with the posting of message & picture.
Fidji is a beautiful older dog. She is also very nice.
We have posted her picture everywhere in Almonte (near Clayton), and we delivered over 200 flyers in mail boxes. I go to the local human society 1-3/week. I faxed to all the vet in the Lanark region. I also put an ad in the paper.
I find that not knowing if she is well or not is "killing us". We won't give up but with the temperatures we had in January I hope she was not outside.

Your very welcome.

By any chance was fidji microchipped?

I'm sure she will be found.....We have had a few people post on here then come back saying that their baby was found.

She is a cutie.I could just cuddle her.

I'm sure he wasn't outside.I'm sure someone probably brought her in.

You know, once when a stray dog came begging at our back door in Vancouver we saw a small print ad scrolling past on community television (you know, the station nobody ever watches). I wonder if they would do the same where you live. I mean, it's community television, right?
Also, try contacting the people who work at local radio stations, they are often quite sympathetic and might mention it on the air. Something short and sweet, with the dog's name, particularly if he comes to it (that's how we found we had an Otis).
Good luck.
