My boston terrier has a pink rash on his stomach, a small bald spot on his tail, dandruff, and licks his feet SO MUCH. Our vet gave us some relief spray, but he just licks it off his feet. what should I do?
Thanks |

Honestly, I think you need a new vet... I've never heard of a vet just giving a spray and that's it. Most vets would give cortisone and at the very least ask you to change to a food that the dog is less likely to be allergic to if food allergies are suspected.
![]() You really have to get moving to resolve this before the chewing becomes an irreversable habit. |

I agree with Prin ~ time to seek another opinion. In the meantime try an oatmeal bath (Aveeno makes one) to soothe his and if you have a cone-collar (Edwardian) at home, perhaps put that on him until your appointment to prevent him from chewing at himself. If you've done a major food change you might want to re-think that chnage. If you have recently cleaned the floors, carpets or his bedding/towels with something unusual you might want to give everything another straight water-rinse. If it's possible he has come into contact with lawn / garden pesticides, you may want to mention that to the next vet as well. I assume you've checked him thoroughly with a magnifying glass for fleas and other critters. poor little guy ~ good luck with the next Vet!
