To quote The Proclaimers, "I can say Saskatchewan without starting to stutter."

I must be a Canadian.

I think these are on a Cdn web site actually - and they are cute, most of them anyway. I never think of cigars when I think of Cuba tho I have vacationed there. There are individual prov ones on that site too - forget them but I know NS has something about all our druken fiddlers. (not quite true but we now have a Premier who is a fiddler - and was an East Coast Music Award nominee too! - and he a drink now and again but not often).

Not sure was the H milk thing is? As for pop and sode, that is not a Cdn/USA thing - there is a cute web site showing geographic regions and what they say. Pop is the term in Minnesota for example - and other parts of the nidwest. Coke is used to describe almost any soft drink in Ga (and even other southern states), likely because Coca Cola is produced in Atlanta but I don't know? We say "pop" in the Maritimes but New England - which we have much in common with says soda tho they also call shakes frappes. (and this was way before Starucks, lol) There is a site where you can send in what you say - or your reginal variation. It's kinda cute.

http://www.popvssoda.com/

Of course, Quebec has French expressions tho I have heard un pepsi et un poutine s'il vous plait, lol

I never say eh. I think that may be an Upper Canadian thing but I am not sure. I sometimes will say Excuse Me? or "what was that again?" but eh is not really part of my vocabulary. (of course just for that, I'll say it tomorrow now, lol)

H milk? (someone please explain that? I really don't know what that is) But we too have highways, not freeways.

I love the "you know you're from... if..." emails... I only get my local one, so to read others is interesting.

You know you're from Massachusetts if...

* Khakis are something you start the car with
* You think crosswalks are for wimps
* You know how to cross 4 lanes of traffic in 5 seconds
* You think it's not actually tailgating unless your bumper is touching the car in front of you
* You know that a yellow light means at least 5 more cars can get through ... and that a red light means 2 more can
* A Crown Victoria = Undercover Cop
* The transportation system is known as the "T"
* Subway is a fast food place
* There are 24 Dunkin Donuts shops within 15 minutes of your house
* When people talk about the "curse of the Bambino," you know exactly what they are talking about, and you believe in it, too
* You think of Rhode Island as the "deep South"
* You believe using a turn signal gives away your plan to the enemy
* If you stay on the same road long enough, it will eventually have 3 or more different names
* Someone has honked at you because you didn't peel out the second the light turned green
* You've honked at someone because they didn't peel out the second the light turned green
* All the potholes just add excitement to your driving experience
* Stop signs mean slow down a little, but only if you feel like it
* $15 to park is a bargain
* You cringe every time you hear some actor/actress imitate the "Boston accent" on TV or in a movie. If you don't have it, you're never going to get it right ... even if you were born here
* At the ice cream shop, you call chocolate sprinkles "Jimmies"

Homogenized milk (i.e. 3.25%) is shortened to homo milk... But nobody drinks it anymore really, so you don't hear it nearly as often.

You forgot one on that list- maybe it's just Qc and Ontario and maybe not all of Ontario (not sure), but we get bags of milk, not jugs...

Heh heh, I thought I was the only one who thought eh was more polite than huh... With global warming, it seems like the road work season is getting longer and longer..
