English to Spanish Translation

I have a new neighbor who's going to drive me crazy. They have 5 cats and one small dog. They simply open up their door or window and let their animals run up and down the street.

When I come home at night, there small dog is sitting at my front door barking and I hear my dog who's inside hysterical barking. There cats sit at my patio door meowing wanting in.

I have already rang their doorbell telling them, to bring in their animal and it's dangerous for them to be outside loose. They didn't understand what I was saying in English and French since they speak Spanish.

My dogwalker just called and she said, one of their cats is sitting on my bird feeder and another one is meowing at my patio door. My dog is going crazy barking at them.

I need someone to translate a note for me, so I can put it in their mailbox.

As long as it's not too complicated my many years of spanish should be able to help somewhat in a rudimentary way?

I appreciate everyone offer to translate the note for me in Spanish.Who ever has a couple of minutes, please see below the short note. I am curious to know if there cats are sterilized...but I will ask that question another day. this is what I would like to say:

Hi!
Welcome to the neighbourhood!
Even though there are many people who live in the area who love animals, it's still very dangerous for your cats and dog to be loose outside and unsupervised.

We would appreciate it, if your cats and dog remain inside your house at all times. If they are outside, we would like to see ALL of them, supervised and put on a leash.

Thank-you for your cooperation.

You might also want to indicate that it's illegal to let the dog run loose and they might lose their dog as well as some cats and possibly even face some fines if they don't keep them leashed/supervised.

Maybe you could get the manager or the owner of the building to sign it? I'm not saying you're not muy importante Poodletalk just to up the ante. If you're sure they are her cats, then you could definitely report her, but I'd save the big guns for later.
You could, however, quote from the relevant law, in your first note.

I just want to make the note friendly, since we have to live next door to each other.

If I have to write a second note, I will make it more forceful telling them about the laws.

Mind you, they are going find out quick in the area where we live.

We have "dog police" who go up and down the bikes paths and forest in golf carts and bikes. They hand out 150$ tickets if they catch you for not picking up, dog liscense not up to date and if you walk your dog off leash. (It doesn't matter if you are in the forest)

Hola!
Bienvenidos sean a nuestro vecindario!

Hope it helps!

I used http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr to translate:

¡Hi!

Not sure how good it is, maybe it will help.

Diane

Yikes,

go with the translation from glasslass, it's perfect - the one from babelfish is scary!

"puesto encendido un leash"

they're either turned onto a leash or lit up to a leash!

Do you know if their cats are fixed? I know it's not honest but you can scare them in keeping their cats indoors: tell them someone is killing cats in the neighborhood or that the city picks up cats in the streets or that there is a diseased critter around.... ?

I agree re glassglass's translation - my Spanish is not perfect but those online and software translation programs translate literally - and do not account for regional variations etc, etc.

Good luck!!

My new neighbors just bought two eight week old kittens

Soon, I will be having 7 cats coming to my door! When I open up my patio door to get fresh air, I have to put a baby gate near the screen door so my dog won't run through the screen just incase a cat comes to the door meowing wanting in.

I hope they move soon
