Muffin got a hair cut!

Hi all,
just thought I would share pics of my little girl
after her first trim of the season.
Decided to take her to a professional this year,
as my clippers burned out. I think the groomer
did a very very good job. What do you think?
Heres the before and after pics!

She's a real sweetie-pie. I'd say she must feel ten pounds lighter but...there's not a whole lot left to her after her buzz!

What a cutie she is but I think I kind of like the fluffier look.

Thanks all!
I think the groomer did a great job.
I could do it myself, but my trimmers take the coat
off right to the skin, and I didnt want that this year,
I wanted her to keep some coat on.

Shes 9 pounds, but looks like 15-17 with all her fur!

muffin

I prefer the fluffy look also and why would you want a pom shaved? It does not make them cooler since the undercoat is still there whether the long hair is clipped or not? Is is a matter of maintenance on your part? Why not just buy a short-haired breed to begin with?

hello,
Muffin is not a pomeranian, she is a long hair chihuahua,
she had very little undercoat at all.
I get her shaved so she is both cooler in the summer,
and so she doesnt get as dirty, as we are always out in the
bush hiking and camping and swimming during the summer.
I did not buy her, I adopted her at 7 months of age, as my sister in law was
incapable of caring for her, after she had been a gift as a pup
from the mother to the granddaughter.
When her hair is long I brush her every day, so it is certainly not
about maintenance.
Just easier this way.

Well I think she looks sweet either way - if she wasnt supposed to be cut so short wouldnt the groomer have said something or not cut her down so much. :

Cute both ways, but with the short cut, her beautiful tail is positively luxurious looking! What a sweetheart!
