Unhappy Cat Has Swollen Foot

I have a cat who is an inside/outside cat. I bathed him about 3 days ago and he got a little scared because it was his first time. Shorty after his bath he started to limp....and slowly its gotten swollen and he wont walk on it. I've checked it for splinters or foreign objects but I find none. I iced it for about 10 min. earlier because right now I dont have the money to take him to the vet. Im hoping mayb he just hit it on the tub and it will get better. Any suggestions?

If this started after his bath, I would say it could be a simple sprain or pulled muscle.

Keep him in the house until it heals - which hopefully it will. If you let him out, he will be unable to run fast or defend himself if necessary.

If he is not neutered, get him done and make him a house cat. It's way too dangerous for cats to be roaming outside.

Can you see whether there is redness or heat from the area?
If there is it may be infected!

I'd say try to make your kitty an indoor cat...less vet bills and worry for you and longer life for kitty!
