Goodbye our Beautiful Fred

We want to say a fond farewell to our beloved golden, Fred. Fred passed away at home on Friday, April 21,2006 at the age of 8 years. It was a peaceful and quick passing due to the skill of the vet that so kindly came to our home.

Fred was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on June 8, 2005, and was given 8 - 10 weeks to live, but he had a great spirit and lived for 45 weeks.

Our Fred was a rescue dog that was purchased by our daughter in a bookstore in North Carolina in November 1998. He came north at Christmas 1998 but he brought some unwanted guests with him in the name of heartworm. He was treated with drugs that were not licensed in Canada(manufacturer did not believe that there was sufficient demand) but special import licenses were approved. The treatment was successful and Fred became a beautiful dog. He was known by all in the neighbourhood. If you saw my husband, you saw Fred as the two were almost always together. The one fault that Fred had was that he was very protective of our property.

We had 7+ enjoyable years and now there is only a lonely ache in our hearts for that smiling, tail wagging friend.

Fred

I am so sorry for your loss.

You have happy and wonderful memories and I am sure this will help ease the pain a little.

All the best

I'm so sorry. I too lost my baby Milo and in my time of grief I found this website. There's a Monday night candle ceremony to pray for all the pets who have enter Rainbow Bridge.
