Smelly cat

I have a question regarding my cat. My cat's anus area smells really bad. I almost can't even stand to have her near me. Wha t can I do to solve this problem?

Could be a number of things - gas (from the food she's eating) or more likely she needs to have her anal glands emptied.

Is she overweight? That can make it so a cat cannot clean itself properly.

Does she lick herself a lot in that area? Or scoot on the floor? This things can indicate the anal gland problem, but some cats don't do this.

I would call the vet - it's the only way to be sure what the problem is.
