cranberries for dogs
having all kinds of leftover turkey,carrots,potatoes and green beans i wanted to know if homemade cranberry sauce is ok for dogs....wanted to make the dogs a special treat with the leftovers.

Not if it is loaded with sugar - and most definitely not if your dog has a low ph.

not sure on the ph........he is very healthy.......i think i will stay away from them just in case.....thanks

You are welcome. I have a very low ph as did one of my dogs and I expect that my current Eskimo does as well - he loves turkey cookies with cranberries, but they don't love his bladder. There is another forum where a lady was trying to acidify her dog's alkaline urine so gave him cranberry - too much as it turned out - and seriously lowered the dog's ph so had to bring it back up. I too used to follow the age old advice to drink cranberry juice until one specialist said for my it was the worst thing to drink. And, I am not alone in this. But dogs do love cranberries - and sweet potatoes. lost 13 oz. in 9 days - pretty darned good app
