Exclamation brendakare

Hi,

This is my first post, and my question is;

Does anyone own a Maltese that has a problem getting it to eat? I've tried everything, and now she is attempting to eat cat food with her doctors recommendtion.

Please help.

a vet recommended your maltese eat cat food? that doesn't seem right.

Although I do not have a maltese, my friend does, and her lil guy really enjoys Wellness (Lamb) dry food. Granted, he doesn't eat alot, nibbles here & there, but he seems to really like the Wellness brand.

what brands of dog food have you tried?

Apparently dogs can eat cat food, but not the reverse. Dogs can eat most anything, but cats need the ingredients in the cat food for their heart.This came from our Maltese neurologist. She has just had major brain surgery and this is since we're had her feeding tube removed, it is very important to find a food she will eat.

Anyway, both our dogs, Lhasa Apso and the Maltese have only eaten the Hills Prescription food that we purchase from the vet. I've never tried the Wellness, and I'm not sure if I can get this food in London, but I'll try anything. If you hear of anything else, please forward the info to me.

Kindest Regards and thanks
