I had better say "Hello."

I haven't been around in about a year or so, but I'm looking forward to being back again. I have been fostering for about six months and am in the process of starting my own non-profit rescue group, on a pretty small scale, to support my local animal shelter and get the wonderful pets there into rescue groups who can help them.

I have three girls, and possibly a fourth! I think she's staying, it seems so crazy to have FOUR dogs, *LOL* -- but I think I've "flunked" on this foster. Don't think she's going anywhere!

Nice to see some old names and also meet some new ones.

hi

What a lovely thing to do. I have 9 Rough Collies 1 sick at the moment I have posted a picture of her on my original hello. She is getting better but as she is just a baby it has been very worrying.
Having a lot of dogs does change your live I am 52 and always had a Rough Collie but only started breeding and showing when my kids left home I guess it was empty nest syndrome. In some ways it is easier as they all play together. We sold our house and moved to the country where we have no neighbours as they do bark when anybody comes arround but when they are
settled you would never guess there were so many.
They are a lot of work but worth everybit of it. I have a kennel but so far it only houses the power washer etc they all live in the house we do have quite a big house and have dog gates up so we can seperate them. My husband helps a lot with grooming etc. One of my friends helps with collie rescue some of the stories are shocking but they are lucky that they do have a steady stream of money and volunteers that foster a lot of oldies that would never settle in a kennel. What the rescue does here is if they have an oldie that maybe the owner died people foster them but rescue picks up any vet bills would love to know how you get on
Bye for now
Barbara
