Living in 2006
YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2006 when...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave. 2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years. 3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3. 4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you. 5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses. 6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries. 7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen. 8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic, and you turn around to go and get it. 10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee. 11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : ) 12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing. 13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message. 14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list. 15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a #9 on this list. AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself. Go on, forward this to your friends ...you know you want to! _________________ www.dogsdenlearningcentre.com |

Heh heh I like the #9 ones... I'm not techy enough. I still don't have a cell phone and I hope I never do.

Thanks for the chuckle! It's way too true. And I will forward it.
Prin, I have a cell phone-bought for emergencies only. Total talk time in 3 years is 47 minutes. I have to check the darn thing all the time to see it the battery has slowly discharged from lack of use. So I'm living proof that you CAN own one and not become a constant talker (although I sometimes do have to resist the urge to call inside from the car while I'm waiting for my husband to emerge! Not that I'm impatient or anything....) |

hehe me too. I don't really use my cell. I'm not a phone person anyways. My mom's paying for my cell phone only because she's one of those moms who worry way too much. If she calls my house and i'm not home she INSISTS on calling my cell so that she knows EXACTLY where I am. If she didn't insist on paying for it, I wouldn't be owning one.
sigh....I love being an only child |

Lol, jiorji-it's not my Mom who calls the cell if I'm not home right on time, it's my daughter! At 13, she's old enough to be alone sometimes, but she worries if I'm even a little later than I said I would be and calls to make sure I'm OK. Sweet kid, but a worry-wart!
