Transamerica - 2005
Felicity Huffman is fantastic as a transsexual trying to complete the change from man to woman. This is some fine acting by the very talented `desperate housewives`star. The actor (Kevin Zegers) that plays her son is also really good in this role and it is the dynamic between them truly shines and makes this a fab film.
This is a journey movie on several levels and the people they meet along the way add spice and fun to the plot. The scenes where she goes home to see her parents are especially touching and funny. Although the subject matter is unconventional, this is one heck of a good film 9/10.
