just sayin' Hello

Hi, everyone.
I'm MaryAnn and my husband, Lou, and I have 3 dogs:
Harley our 10 yr old Rottie. We've had him 8 years from an abuse rescue, we weren't supposed to keep him, it just happened. He had a stroke last year and it left him a little woobly and with a goofy expression on his face but we love him anyway.
Katie is our 9 yr old GSD. She's so absolutely beautiful! Makes me always smile and is the smartest one in the bunch. We just recently found out she has heart disease and this came as a total shock as she has had no symtoms. We'll be monitoring her and my vet wants to run a few more tests before we start on treatment.
Charlie is a big bear. Our 8 yr old St. Bernard/Lab mix. Came to us at 6 months old with no tail, so he really does look like a bear. About 145 lbs of laid back love!
We also have 2 cats;
Miss Kitty is our old lady. She's 18 and is a tortie short hair. Really doesn't do much but sleep and loves Katie!
Ernie is 4 and is a big, long hair terror. He likes to attack everyone, keeps 'em all jumping.

We've been married 26 yrs and have no kids so our animals are our family. We have had many go to Rainbow Bridge in all that time and everyone still holds a place in our hearts. We know we will all be together some day.

We're adopting two new babies, Doolin and Kerry (newfie mixes) and should be picking them up next week if all goes well. We've been watching them grow and loving them more by all the wonderful pics their foster mom has been posting here. We can't thank her and her BF enough.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce ourselves (I tend to babble a bit, forgive me) and when I get more comfortable with this stuff, I'll figure out how to post pics, too.

Lol, hiya MaryAnn. Now you'll have to try and keep up with Prin's posting pace with picks of Kerry n Doolin as they grow!

Nice to see you on the board and looking forward to meeting you on the 18th.

Welcome to the board! Even though Kerry and Doolin brought you here, you'll find it to be very addictive with a lot of pet knowledge going around. Any puppy questions you have you can post here.

I certainly hope you'll post a pic or two (or five) everynow and then, just so we get an idea of who they become... I hope you have a digital camera!

I do have a digital camera and am just getting used to using it. I will definately post pictures and will start practicing posting this week-end with some shots of the oldies. We're supposed to get snowed in so it will be a good time to try.

Hello There-

HI Everyone-

My name is Iris. I have a 10 year old arthritic Beagle named Kelly and a 14 year old diabetic cat named Pete.

They, along with my 3 teenage kids, keep me very busy!

Glad to be part of this group-
Iris

Hi to the two newbies!

And I'm totally jealous of you, Zebby! With all those beauties you have (just commented on them down in the Pictures section), now you're getting the two giant love muffins that Prin is fostering! Ooooooh...I'm green with envy!
