Smile Help find me a name!

I have a new family member and as with all my family members am having trouble picking a name so I was hoping I could get some ideas here. He is a male tom cat (being neutered on Tuesday thanks to BMDLuver). I'm not sure of his age but I'm guessing at least a couple years. Personality wise he seems to be most at home just lying around on my bed and rolling around in cat nip. Now that he's settling in he's pretty calm and seems to be a lover not a fighter, lying back and accepting that our resident cat is king of the castle. Anyways since he only just adopted me this is all I know of his personality, I'll post his pic below. If anyone can think of any names I'd love to hear them! I was thinking something french would be fun but all ideas welcome!

Since food is always a big thing for me I was thinking "Oreo".

Or maybe "Si-vert" for his beautiful eyes (pronounced "see-vair" for those of you who don't read French ).

He's so cute!!!! I have always found these big toms to be mostly sweet, laid-back and lovable (as long as another tom is not around!)

Romeo?

My sister thinks I should name him Skunk or Stinker, I guess she still hasn't gotten over his territorial stink spraying

The first thing that came to me was "Smudge". Not very original.

How about Edgar? Since your other cat name is poe?

Edgar Allan Poe.

Personally, I like the name Valentino or Fabio

Well, since he will techincally no longer be a "lover" on that day, why not name him "Newt" (short for "neutered)? Or "NoVal" (as in "no valentine")?

"Two lumps short of a tom"... that's funny!

Haha too funny! I can see myself getting those famous cat glares if I name him one of those

Two other names I was thinking was Mosaic or Picasso. He seems like a bit of a piece of art to me with all his patch work!

Shakespearean names could be cute too, I should look some up!

If you are thinking along the skunk and the French lines... how about Pepe (le pee-you)? hehe
He looks like a cat I once had by the name of Sylvester. There seems to be a cartoon theme here. Another cartoon cat: Figaro?

Name for cat

What about Zoro? He kinda has a mask! If your anything like me, I rarely call my kids by their given names. They always turn into something else. For example our calico was named Lucy. She ended up getting Goosey & Doobug. Our lab was called Pepper and she ended up with Poopy. The little girl we have now is named Minee but she gets Monkey & Monkey Girl. Go figure!

I had actually considered Chaplin as well, and the fact other people think he looks like him too makes me think it might be a pretty good name! I think I will try it out for a day or two and see if it fits.

LOL! My first thought was "Smudgins" too!

Or, how about "Patch"?

"Splot"?

Well Chaplin has seemed to stick. He just looks too much like Charlie Chaplin to name him anything else . Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm taking him in tomorrow morning to get him fixed, wish us luck!
