repairing a deep scratch

Does anyone know of a way to clean or buff a scratch from an aquarium? a friend accidently scratched the outside of his in a few places, he can take it to a shop, but it's 6 feet long and 3 feet high, it's built into a wall of his home. Any product available out there?

can't you call a glass repair shop and ask them what they would suggest?

I thought there was a glass filler that you can get for windshields. It would probably work for a tank as long as it is on the outside.

I think the crack has to be deep for the filler to hold...that's what they told me when I went in with a small scratch on my wind shield
