Resizing Photos?
This isn't as much of a problem with the bulletin board as it is with me not knowing how to use Photobucket, but I don't know where else to put it...
I host my images with Photobucket, but they're always too big, so I resize them to 50%. Afterwards, on Photobucket, they show up as a decent size, but whenever I try to post them, they show up as the original size on the bulletin board (so they're huge). Is there anything I have to do to permanently resize them? Thanks! |

I use Microsoft Picture Manager and then the "resize" function under "Edit".

I use a program called Irfanview. Very easy and convenient and you can do all kinds of stuff with your pics.
You can download it for free at www.irfanview.com |

Or if you're using Windows, go to Micro$oft and look up "Power Toys". There's a bunch of cool things there, but the one you want is the Image Resizer. Once you've installed it, you can just right-click on any picture (unopened of course, i.e. click their icon, or thumb) and you will get a "Resize Picture" option with a few self-explanatory options.
I find this little power toy to be best because it's not really opening another (big?) application to resize a picture.

And if you don't have nor wish to fork out big bucks for Windows XP? Is there a work around ?

Thanks for all of the responses! I've been playing with those programs and the "Power Toys", they're great!

You mean like...Linux? Try: MojoShrunk Oh and something I'm playing with in my spare time right now is called Metapixel (also for Linux) and it can generate photo mosaics (of say, your furry friend) using a database of your existing photos
