in heat

I have a golden retreiver whi 10 months old and just come into season she has just passed bleeeding stage, when is it safe to take her out for a walk? ( I do not want to breed with her at the moment)

I'm confused, for her whole heat you have not taken her out for a walk? I don't see the correlation between her heat and a walk. She's on a leash, so can't really have a dog run out from behind a bush, jump her and have a go. Sorry but this one has given me a good giggle.

Oh , and BTW...

It could happen. There was one in our bushes last week... He jumped out and... oh.. wait... no.. Boo jumped into the bushes. My mistake. He's a clumsy bugger.
