Jemma was chewing on something that Boo wanted. He started to bark, so I turned around and those twits broke into my Christmas present stash!! They were fighting over the brand new huge tennis ball I bought for them!!! Those twits!

Just like naughty little children....can't wait for Christmas morning
I guess you'll have to stash them better next time! So do they get to keep it? or do they have to wait for christmas?

That's so funny. Jesse did that last year. I had a three Christmas stockings wrapped for her and she sniffed them out and started tearing into one of them. I don't know if it's good or not, but I taught Jesse how to open wrapped gifts. It's really cute around her birthday and Christmas, but bad because she will grab my paperwork that I get in the mail for work and rip it into shreds. It's bad I occassionally have to tell my boss my dog ate my homework.

Haha, too funny!
I just got Kayla a bag of goodies from Costco (AWESOME deal $25 for tonnes of stuff) and I'm the one who couldn't wait and opened it up early! I was always like that as a child too, I mastered the art of rewrapping presents to make them look unwrapped I guess I'm not very good with suprises, even when they're for my dog!

Not the one I got. It had a flying squirrel, some tug toys, a ball thrower, some balls, a squirrel tailed ball, some treats, a kong type of thing, and a squeeky elephant with an extending nose

Ya, but give those toys to anything bigger than a lab and they're all dead in less than 10 minutes... Squeaky toys with thin rubber don't last long in this house...

LOL Ok, then - I looked it over and every toy in there is a toy that Jemma or Boo would destroy in seconds. I will say nothing more about the size of dogs... Maybe something about hard vs. mild chewers though...

oh i dont know what to get charlie this year, she has os much and is very specific about toys, i think its jsut a new dolly this year, maybe a teddy to, but i think she wants a new dolly, she likes to colelctt hem.
and prin, my big dog would never chew toys, nah shes to precious with her toys, esp her dollies and teddies, their cherished by her and never ever destroyed (pity the dogs that do destroy them, and this has happened, she hates them for life )).i wish i could find something like the toy bag mentioned above by kayla, i wil have a good look this week and see what i can find, charlie is the only one i have not got anythign for yet...... um prin, give your stupid twits credit for finding thier present, thats pretty clever of them

My doggies don't usually destroy their own toys, but they kill other dogs' toys... Maybe because I didn't give the toys to them specifically, they thought they were someone else's...

Friends once gave us a small present which we put under the tree to save to open on Xmas. Den-Den kept dragging it out and tearing off the paper. We didn't want to open it yet because we don't receive that many true surprises on Xmas morning. Each time, I would rewrap it and put it back under the tree. Finally, when we opened it, it was a box of Italian Xmas cookies. The nose knew!

You have to be careful about that... My great aunt's doggy got "Turtles" that way and he died...
![]() They certainly do know what is in under the wrapping way ahead of us.

In our house, it's the cat who gets into trouble with gifts. I can't wrap anything without stashing it high up in a closet immediately afterward--it starts with nibbling bows and ribbons, then she starts working on the paper. She's such a pain! It's hard to find a spot for all the gifts when it starts to get close to christmas.
