LOL, it's in the "on-topic" so it's pet related? It's a pet-based rant? I'm guessing... Dog wiped anal glands on couch?

In the newspaper a couple of days ago, they talked about "Left nostril breathing". You sit cross-legged on the floor, bring your right hand up to your nose, and press your fingers gently on the right side of the nose, closing the right nostril. Then you take long breaths, holding them in for 10-30 seconds through your left nostril. It's supposed to calm you down. Don't ask me, I just read it.

If you pinch the meaty part of your hand (between thumb and index finger - not just the edge but into the meaty part) and it hurts - then you've got too much stress in your body. Alternate pinching the left hand and then the right - it's supposed to release all your stress. It's not good for pregnant women though - it releases all your toxins too.

Of course, I find a couple of beers and a nice massage work just as well!

Bless your heart, it sounds like you've had a bad one. Here are some things that work for me:

Hot bath!
Mint chocolate chip ice cream
Hike (only not in this danged weather...it's 90 degrees at about 8:00 here)
Kitty cuddle
Nap
Cruising this bulletin board

Oh, there's also a CALM relaxation exercise I use, where you relax your Chest, Arms, Legs, and Mouth. Takes about 20 seconds and really works!

Happy trails, hope you feel better soon,

WhKnight
