A Pimple Growing on my Dog's Eyelids

Hi, my name is Phil SItu. I own a dog who's a spitts american eskimo, and only recently have noticed some sort of cyst growing on the edge of his eyelids. One is rather small on his left eye, but on his right eye, the cyst is slightly bigger, but is resting on TOP of the eye, rather than just staying on the eyelid.

Would anyone know what this is? Can it be something that the my dog's eye itself can defend against, or is this something that only the vet can cure?

I'm very worried about my dog's vision - so is it best to just do the latter?

Thanks for your time,

Phil Situ

Hi Phil,

I too would be worried if this were my dog.

2 issues

1- Is it really a cyst or could it be something worse?
2- Cysts tend to grow, and this cyst could easily grow larger.

The dog's vision could easily be compromised if it is something bad, so I would definitely get a vet to determine exactly what's going on here.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply - I probably will end up bringing my dog to see the vet on Thursday.
