Neat ideas

As most of you know, I am adopting a mini doxie from South Carolina. She is being transported up to me this weekend. Her foster mom is sending a disposable camera with her, so that everyone participating in Heidi's transport can take pictures and I will have a photo journal of her trip. I thought this was a neat idea.

Also, in the adoption contract for Dachshund Rescue of North America, Heidi will come with a DRNA tag and I must keep it on her 24/7 for the rest of her life. (The contract also calls for me to have a personalized ID tag made for her, kept on her 24/7 too). There is an ID number and contact info on the tag. If she is ever lost, DRNA will be able to trace her back to me. Given how many strays we take in as rescues (and Heidi herself was found on the side of a country road - who knows how a semi-paralized dog ended up on the side of a country road). I am going to ask DRNA for more info about the logistics of running this program. I thought this was a second neat idea.
