Smile How do you know a dog is pregnant?

My dog is over a year old and I have never had a female dog so how do I know if she is pregnant? And was told how dangerous a urinary tract infections could be if she is and what are those signs too?

Why not bring her to the vet instead of asking us when we can't do anything about it? If you search the forums for "pregnant dog" you'll find enough too.

Has your dog been with a male while she was in heat? Was there a mating?

And the infection that is so dangerous is pyometra - a very serious uterine infection that can be fatal unless emergency surgery is performed.

You can eliminate worries about pregnancy, pyometra and cancers of the reproductive system and mammary glands very simply - have your dogs spayed.
