Question New and Needs Dog Advice

Hi - We have a 4 year old Dandy Dinmont Terrier named Rex. We call him a Dud! He likes to sleep and lie in the sun. He was at the groomers today and she noticed his skin under his legs and onto his belly going black. It seems to be getting larger since last time he was groomed. He also has quite an ear build up and a strange odour. She said could be a thyroid problem? Don't go to the Vet until Thursday. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks RDOGSREX

More details

Of course, the first course of action is the vet visit - is the vet so busy that you can't get Rex in until Thursday??

Where is the odor coming from? If it is his ears, they are probably infected. As for the skin turning black, I don't know. If the groomer said that it's getting bigger, does that mean that he's had it for a while?? Did you take him to the vet for it?? If so, what did the vet say about it? Do you clean his ears? Is he prone to ear infections? More details would probably help anyone reading your thread to give you better suggestions.

I agree, more details are required. Also, am surprised vet can't see your pup until Thursday.
