I've taken my 9yr old German Shepard to the vet twice had labs drawn-with no answers. My max is always hungry. Everytime we walk in the door she expects food. Even if I go out to get the mail, she is waiting for me by her bowl. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I'd definitely try feeding your dog twice a day. PERIOD. No snacks etc. Give her the recommended amount of food for her size and age per day, and divide that into two feedings. Once she learns she's only being fed twice per day (hopefully always around the same hours) then she'll accept distractions like walks play and relaxation much more easily. Good luck Bohemian |
