Dog attack in Ottawa:

http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/Ottawa...41929-sun.html

Three "pitbulls" attack a boy.
This part seems odd:
" CJOH TV reported last night the dogs might be the same animals involved in an attack on a four-year-old boy and his brother on a skating rink on nearby Woodridge Cres. on Jan. 25. "

I thought the dogs from the skating rink incident were Mastiffs.

The breed seem's to be unconfermed, at this time, so it's pits untill proven otherwise, if i'ts not pit's it not news, so they just run with the pit angle. The breed of the dog's does not matter anyway's, hopefully the media finally figures that one out, a dog attack is a dog attack, and vicious dog's need to be delt with. Bryant can now once again Lie to the people of Ontario, get his mug in the paper, and tout how is bill 132 would have prevented this.

This really ruined my morning...

"CJOH TV reported last night the dogs might be the same animals involved in an attack on a four-year-old boy and his brother on a skating rink on nearby Woodridge Cres. on Jan. 25.

Police told the owners they could face a charge of criminal negligence in connection with the yesterday's incident"

Judging from the possible charge it could be the same non-pit bull type dogs. i guess there never will be truth in journalism which really ticks me off.

Also a 1 metre fence is the same as a 3 foot fence, hardly high enough to contain a dog unsupervised.

Bryant's law of course will not protect anyone from these types of attacks if these were indeed the same non pit bull dogs. Also the dogs were on their property so once again no matter the breed the same holds true.

Looks like it's letter writing time. Also, notice the report of the maulings, only one pitbull, and that was during a fight?

If it is the same dogs they were bullmastiff mixes and what idiot would try and contain a dog of that size with a 3 ft. fence actually that size fence would not keep many dogs in. But like you said lets just assume it is a pit then if by chance and a very good chance that it was another breed they will print that on the back page
