Bug bite or scratch on eye

Hello everybody, I haven't posted in a while, (a long while, I just realized), both Jerry and Story are doing fine, but I just have a question about a bug bite that seems to have puffed one of Story's eye. It just happened today and she is sleeping on my lap while we are driving to the vet, it's quite a ways away. We first noticed her rubbing her eye and the puffiness and the tearing, then I noticed twice a tiny bit of green "goop". Now since she's been sleeping, it is crusted shut. We gently wipe it away once in a while. Her and Jerry were roughhousing a little before this happened and my husband noticed some wasps flying around, plus they were playing near some bushes. Has anyone else had something like this? We will let you know what the vet says.

Sam , by playing with Nelly , got whipped with her tail in his eye , created the green stuff but it wasn't puffy. I think this would be more like a sting.

We've had wasp stings on eyelids here, but typically the lid swells and there's no discharge from the eye. If the green goop is related to the swelling, maybe the lid and cornea got scratched during play? I'm glad you're taking Story in--eyes make me nervous. Always better to be safe than sorry!

Info on possible bug bite/scratch/tail in the eye

Thank you guys for your input, the vet seems to think it is just a scratch, we are waiting to get her looked at.
