My Beloved Sebastian passed away

I know Ive been putting this off. Its hard to accept that my little sebastian has passed away.
The pain is incredable and I find myself tring to cling to some hope that he will come back to me. Not a day goes by that I find myself balling my eys out, then composing myself to deal with the rituals of life (work, commuting, etc).

I'm sorry, but I dont think I can get over this - ever. The only way i can function is to not think about it.
Sebastian is never in my dreams, except for once - a short vivid dream where I hugged him and scratched his back - and then he pointed to some kitten with brown paws.

You may think this is strange (frankly I dont care if you do) but I have kept a candle burning, ever since he passed away.

The past 5 years I;ve seen loved ones pass away, and now Sebastian - unexpectedly and suddenly - Christmas will never be the same - only a time of sorrow. I hope sebastian is waiting for me , or is happy where he is - if there is anything but dust beyond life?

Just a message to you sebastian (I know you cant here me) - but I miss you and always will love you - There is a whole in my heart that will remain until I see you again.

about Sebastian! He was a beautiful kitty and judging by the photo of him with his dog, a loving one. All of us here have gone through the loss of a pet and understand what you are feeling. The pain will ease over time and become bearable, but you will always have wonderful memories - bittersweet, I know.

I too am very sorry,it's a very difficult time :sad:
I believe everyone in this Forum understand,I certainly do...
I remember when my Sammy passed away,I used to see him coming around the corner,or sleeping on his favourite chair,but of course he was not there :sad:
It tears you apart and never feel embarassed for crying for losing someone you love,it will take some time,but you will recover and keep all your wonderful memories of beautiful Sebastian.

We all know what you are going through! I lost my cat as well just a week or so before Christmas. I still cry and seems like I miss him more and more everyday. It takes time and you need to take the time to grieve. I'm sure Sebastian is watching you from above when he's not playing with my Max in heaven!

The coming to terms with such a painful loss, and the void left is a difficult journey, the ebbs and flows of grief can only be worked through with time.

I know how you feel :sad: I miss my little guy as well. I ended up taking a stray cat in last month and the ironic thing about it is, it's like I got my cat back but in a differnt body! The personalities are so much alike it is scary. I've never had something like this happen before! And sometimes I accidently call the new cat "Max."

I'm not telling you to get another cat. But just know what you are feeling still, is normal. You're definitely not alone.

By fate we just got another Chartreux, and she is beatiful (she just came to us "out of the blue" ).
Because her arrival was so unexpected , I like to think that she was a gift from Sebastian. We love her very much.
when I look at her, I see my young sebastian as a kitten - they have the same "profile".

She is not a replacement but here being here has helped me a bit.
But I still miss my Sebastian :love: :love: :love:

TandD,I am really happy for you...we can never replace the ones we lost,each cat/dog is unique,but you have a lot of love to give and this new kitty is very lucky you found her.

TanD..ssry about your loss. I too have lost loved beloved furries.
We have our own pet cemetary on the ridge by our house (in the country 160 acres).I have 5 of my babies there including my girlfriends and out Beta slugger..who we had for 3 yrs.
I talk to them all the time as i clean their graves. I also Paint and have paintes stones for each one of them.The candle lighting is a beutifull thing.

I am so sorry for your loss - glad you have another little one. I know that one will never replacwe Sabastien but it's heartwarming to have a furry one around. (Every time I see one of these threads I relive the night I lost my Tanner - I try not to let it get to me but it does. It so painful isn't it and they never leave our thoughts.) Please take care!!

I too, know the feeling of losing a loved pet. still cry when I think of Sassy. Just have to know I did all I could do for her, but I miss her and her presence, her being here in this household.

Tand, there are those here, including me who know how it feels to lose one we love.

Hang it, it gets easier...one day you may love another, help fill the empty hole. Never fills it up, though.

Your not being silly by missing Sebastian, it has been almost year since my bandit passed and believe me when I say, he is gone but not forgotten, time heals but his memory shall last on as my love for him grows into a bundle of beautiful memories :love:

My sympathies for your loss. I lost a dog and a cat this year, pets who meant all the world to me. I think Sebastian gave you a clear message that someone was waiting for you! Enjoy your new kitty.
