Question Irrated Anal Glands

My dog has been biting his tail area. He looks at me like "please help".
I know it must be his anal glands.

Is there anything I can do on my own without taking him to the vet? Warm compresses? To ease the discomfort?

Please help!!

Go to the vet. This could be an infection and or impacted anal glands. In either case you should seek a vet so they can show you how to *properly* ease the situation... do not try and do it yourself before you have been shown the technique. Good luck.
