what does a cat fear?

I would like to know what kind of material will scare a cat off from my property.

After my car is washed, my neighbor's cat will always jump onto my vehicle for a rest. It is really annoying to see my car getting dirty instantly. I just want to find out if there is anything, such as a spray that does not harm the cat but will get him out of my car.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my own cat and car! They love the warmth of the hood.

Cats really hate aluminum foil, or anything sticky. There are also some repellant sprays that smell like citrus, but don't know if you can use that on a car.

You could also use a squirt bottle and spray the cat when he jumps up, if it's not cold where you are.

I've never done this myself, but I've been told that kyann(sp) pepper sprinkled in the yard does wonders......
