Hello - just found out about this site - have 2 senior cats
questions - uptown in NY?

need to know
one cat, 12 - has lost all but his 4 front fangs - he has had almost annual dentistry, but has cogenital gum disease. What would happen if he loses ALL his teeth.
my Vet said he'll just gum his food. Is he correct? Thanks for any replies

If he is an otherwise healthy cat,I am sure losing ALL his teeth is fine,probably will be eating canned food though,for the rest of his life.
I too have an almost 12-year old cat,I don't consider him senior,more like middleage.
Most of my cats lived to be 17-19yrs.
You should have had your own Thread and asked the question in the Health Forum
